Returns & Exchanges

  • Change-of-mind returns or exchanges are not accepted. Please review item details and size information carefully before ordering. If you have questions, contact us before purchase.
  • Items that arrive with a manufacturing defect or initial fault are eligible for a refund.
    ・Notify us within 7 days of delivery and attach photographs that clearly show the issue.
    ・Once we confirm the defect, we will refund the item price and the original shipping fee.
  • Damage, loss, or soiling that occurs after delivery is not covered.
  • HIDARI is not liable for carrier-related loss, damage, or delay once a parcel has left our facility.

Shipping Fees & Customs Issues

Shipping fees are non-refundable if a parcel is

  1. refused or returned because duties / VAT were not paid,
  2. detained or abandoned by customs authorities, or
  3. sent back after the carrier’s holding period or due to an incorrect / incomplete address.

If you ask us to resend a returned parcel, a new shipping charge will apply.

Lost or Damaged Parcels

Despite careful packing, parcels may occasionally be lost or damaged in transit. If this happens:

Contact your local delivery carrier first — they often have the most up-to-date tracking information and can act on your behalf more quickly than we can from Japan.

Please also notify us via the contact form. We will support you from our end. Note that investigations may take time.

We launched our online store specializing in left-handed products for people living in Japan in 2018. Since then, we have delivered countless delightful items to left-handers within Japan.
We are now ready to expand our business overseas, because there are lefties all over the world. All HIDARI products are carefully packaged by our experienced staff and shipped from Japan to you.
