HIDARI Terms of Service

Placing an order with HIDARI ONLINE SHOP (hereafter “the Store”) constitutes acceptance of the terms below.

1. Orders and Dispatch

• An order-confirmation email is sent automatically after checkout.
• Orders are normally dispatched within 3 business days after the order and payment have been confirmed, unless a different dispatch date is stated on the product page, such as for pre-order items.
• If an item is unavailable or dispatch must be delayed, we will contact you.
• A shipping-confirmation email with the tracking number and link is sent when the parcel leaves our facility.

2. Shipping, Taxes & Duties

Available shipping methods, rates, delivery estimates, taxes, and duties vary by destination. Please see our Shipping page for the current details.

United States orders are shipped by ECMS, with duties and taxes prepaid and no additional import charges due on delivery. Other supported destinations may use DHL Express or Japan Post depending on the destination and parcel contents.

Delivery usually takes 1–3 weeks after dispatch, but this is an estimate and varies by shipping method, destination, customs clearance, weather, holidays, and carrier conditions.

3. Returns & Refunds

Change-of-mind returns and exchanges are not accepted, except where required by applicable law. Please review item details and size information carefully before ordering. If you have questions, contact us before purchase.

If you believe your item is faulty, please contact service@hidari.com as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and a description of the issue. Photos, where available, can help us assess the problem.

We will assess the issue, taking into account the product type, length of use, and how it has been used and cared for, and explain the appropriate next steps in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Problems caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse or improper care are generally not eligible for a free remedy, except where required by applicable law.

This policy does not provide an additional lifetime warranty or limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.

HIDARI does not, as a general rule, compensate for carrier-related loss, damage, or delay once a parcel has left our facility, except where required by applicable law. If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, please contact the local carrier first and also notify us. We will assist with information or an investigation where possible. Any compensation or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

4. Product and Destination Restrictions

Some knives and other bladed products cannot be shipped to certain destinations. Restrictions shown on the relevant product page take priority.
