HIDARI Terms of Service & Shipping Policy

Placing an order with HIDARI ONLINE SHOP (hereafter “the Store”) constitutes acceptance of the terms below.

1. From Order to Dispatch

• An order-confirmation email is sent automatically after checkout.
• Orders are normally dispatched within 3 business days after the order and payment have been confirmed, unless a different dispatch date is stated on the product page (for example, for pre-order items). If an item is unavailable or dispatch must be delayed, we will notify you promptly.
• A shipping-confirmation email with the tracking number and link is sent when the parcel leaves our facility.

2. Shipping Policy

Available shipping methods and rates are shown at checkout after you select your destination and enter your delivery address.

United States — Standard Shipping (ECMS)

• Estimated delivery: usually 1–3 weeks after dispatch
• Duties and taxes are prepaid; no additional import charges are due on delivery.
• Tracking is included.
• Delivery is available to the 50 states, District of Columbia, and Guam. We cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or U.S. military addresses.
• Current rate bands support parcels up to 7 kg.

Other supported destinations

Available services may include DHL Express and Japan Post. The options and estimates shown depend on the destination, shipment weight, and parcel contents.

• DHL Express: usually 1–3 weeks after dispatch
• Japan Post: usually 1–3 weeks after dispatch
• A recipient phone number may be required.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout before payment. Delivery usually takes 1–3 weeks after dispatch. This is an estimate, not a guarantee; customs clearance, holidays, severe weather, and carrier conditions may cause delays.

Some knives and other bladed products cannot be sent to certain destinations. Please review the restriction notice on the relevant product page before ordering.

3. Taxes & Duties

• United States: Duties and taxes are prepaid. No additional import charges are due on delivery.
• United Kingdom: For consignments with a goods value of £135 or less, VAT is collected at checkout. For orders above £135, import VAT, duties, and carrier fees may be collected on delivery.
• European Union: HIDARI does not use the IOSS scheme. The carrier may collect VAT and related service fees on delivery.
• Other supported destinations: Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and similar charges are payable by the recipient unless checkout explicitly states otherwise.

4. Returns & Refunds

• Change-of-mind returns and exchanges are not accepted. Please review product descriptions and size information before ordering.
