A note from HIDARI

We looked a long time for a left-handed grooming scissor with a curved tip, and this premax one is the best we've found. Made in a small scissor-making village up in the Italian mountains.

A small curved scissor for brows, fine hair, and cuticles — ground for the left hand.

The grooming scissor we'd been looking for

For close grooming work, a curved tip makes a real difference — but left-handed versions are hard to come by. This one is made by premax, a scissor maker in Premana, Italy, who've specialized in beauty scissors since 1974.

Made in Premana — an Italian scissor town

Premana sits in the mountains about an hour north of Milan, and has made blades for generations. premax was founded there in 1974 by local scissor-makers, and today brings together around 50 workshops and more than 300 artisans.

What the curve is for

The gently curved tip follows the line of your skin, so it's easier to hold a steady angle on brows and fine hair. The same curve helps with nail care — shaping cuticles and tidying the edge of a nail.

Finished for the left hand

Most grooming scissors are ground so the blades meet cleanly in a right hand. This pair is ground the opposite way, so the blades close and cut correctly when you hold them left-handed. For fine work like brows and nails, that alignment is what keeps the cut clean and controlled.

A simple, classic shape

No extra parts — just a clean, old-fashioned scissor shape that's easy to pick up whoever you are. The kind of tool you keep for a long time.

Left-handed, from the start

Every tool in our shop is designed for left-handed use — not a right-handed product turned around. We've been gathering and making them since 2018, from our shop in Gifu, Japan.

Delivered to You from Japan

We've been running a left-handed tools shop in Japan since 2018. The online store grew out of that, and now we send these tools to people in over 90 countries.
