Left-Handed Kitchen Scissors by Suncraft

Price: ¥4,590

Kitchen scissors built for your left hand — and for everything paper scissors can't handle.

Packaging, meat, dried food, fresh herbs. The things you reach for scissors in the kitchen for aren't paper — and they don't cut the same way. This is a left-handed kitchen scissors designed specifically for that kind of work: the blade configuration is reversed, so the cutting force works naturally when held in the left hand.

A long-selling kitchen classic from Suncraft, Seki City

These scissors are part of a long-running lineup of everyday kitchen tools by Suncraft, a kitchenware manufacturer based in Seki City, Gifu — one of the world's three great centers of blade-making. Known for knives and kitchen tools crafted to professional standards, Suncraft also produces a range of tools for left-handed users.

Made for tougher cuts

The blade gap is set slightly wider than a standard scissors — intentional, because this tool is built for materials that resist cutting. Thick plastic packaging, raw meat, dried ingredients: it grips and cuts through with confidence. Note: very thin plastic bags may require a little technique to cut cleanly.

Four functions in one

  • Kitchen scissors — reversed blade, left-hand cutting action
  • Bottle opener — removes caps with ease
  • Shell cracker — cracks ginko nuts and similar shells
  • Can lid opener — pries open can lids

A handle built for daily use

The EVA resin handle is soft against the hand during extended use. The symmetrical shape means no top or bottom — just pick up and cut.
