A small leather cover to protect the tips of your scissors.

Scissor tips can easily catch or scratch other things inside a pencil case, sewing box, or bag. Simply slip this leather cover over the blades to keep both your scissors and the things around them protected.

The shape is completely symmetrical, so it works with both left- and right-handed scissors.

Made with YAMATOU, a Tokyo leather maker since 1899

We created this cover together with YAMATOU, a Japanese leather goods maker founded in Tokyo in 1899—the same maker behind the left-handed wallets we carry at HIDARI.

Each piece is cut, stitched, and finished in Japan by skilled craftspeople, with the HIDARI and YAMATOU logos embossed into the leather.

Italian leather that grows richer with use

The cover is made from Italian cowhide produced in Tuscany using the traditional Vachetta method and carefully finished by hand.

The leather is soft and supple, with a natural surface that develops more shine and a deeper color over time. Choose from two colors, Brown and Blue—each will age in its own way.

Sized for smaller scissors

At 32 × 80 mm (1.3 × 3.1 in.), this is a compact cover designed for smaller scissors.

It pairs especially well with scissors such as our PAUL Kids Scissors and PAUL Silhouette Scissors. Please check the size of your scissors before ordering.

About the natural leather

The leather is intentionally left with a natural finish. You may see variations in color, wrinkles, scars, or small marks from the making process. Each piece will look slightly different.

These are natural characteristics of the leather rather than defects, and returns or exchanges cannot be accepted on this basis.

With use, the leather will gradually gain shine and deepen in color. Applying a very thin layer of leather conditioning cream every few months will help keep it in good condition.
