Left-handed highlights

The blade configuration is reversed specifically for left-handed cutting, helping the blades meet naturally and make clean cuts through flower stems and branches when used in the left hand.

A note from HIDARI

These traditional Japanese flower scissors are made for more than delicate stems—they have the strength to handle firm branches used in ikebana as well. We especially like the classic “warabite” handles, a traditional shape with a quiet charm of its own.

Left-handed scissors for IKEBANA

Ikebana (kadō) is the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement. These traditional flower scissors are designed for left-handed use and are well suited to cutting both flower stems and the firmer branches often used in Japanese flower arrangement.

Sharp blades for easy cutting

In addition to flowers, ikebana often uses woody branches and firm stems. The strong steel blades cut through them cleanly, making these scissors useful for both flower arranging and everyday displays with branches.

A cover to protect the cutting edge is included as an accessory. We recommend wiping off any dirt or water after use for longer blade life.
