The Ultimate Left-Handed Peeler Born in Tokyo's Culinary Hub, Kappabashi
Just like its full-sized counterpart, the “Ever Peeler, left-handed vegetable peeler Mini” was crafted at Iidaya, a kitchenware specialty shop in Kappabashi, Tokyo. Known as the “kitchen tools paradise,” Kappabashi is home to an incredible variety of culinary essentials. Since 1912, Iidaya has offered everything from classic tools to niche, hard-to-find items.
With over 100 types of peelers always available, Iidaya set out to create the best peeler ever. The original “Ever Peeler” was the result, and when our staff first tried it, we were amazed at how much sharper and more efficient it was compared to conventional peelers.
The new “Ever Peeler Mini” features a blade that’s about 0.4 inches narrower, making it easier to handle for those with smaller hands or for tasks that require more precision.
However, please note that the Mini is not ideal for shredding cabbage into thin slices; for that, we recommend the original size.

The secret behind this sharpness lies in the ultra-hard stainless steel material, 440A, typically reserved for professional chef’s knives. This high-quality steel is difficult to work with, but thanks to Iidaya's commitment to creating the ultimate peeler and the expert craftsmanship from Seki, Japan—a town famed for its centuries-old blade-making tradition—the “Ever Peeler Mini” became a reality.
